For the last three or four months, we’ve been seeing QUITE A FEW (!!!!!) defective Ford F150’s, Ford F250’s, Ford F350’s and Ford Focus vehicles.  Problems are several, but common themes include transmission and engine.

We’re not interested in making a class action out of this, and candidly, I would “opt out” of any lemon law class action in almost all instances.  Individual lemon claims are much, much better for the individual consumer.  In class actions, the consumer usually gets some cheesy coupon instead of a full buyback or a replacement vehicle.  If you become a part of the class, you’re limited to the coupon and you forfeit your right to seek anything more, even if you have an excellent claim.

For anyone out there reading who has one of these vehicles, I would very seriously recommend getting an attorney involved early, and on an individual claim basis, not on a class action basis.  Ford is currently fighting on these vehicles but that won’t last for too long.  You should be getting a buyback if you have one of these defective vehicles.
